Located next door to Boston University Medical Center facilities and across the street from the Crosstown development area, 817 Albany Street is being transformed into a vibrant urban center.
The 1.7-acre parcel has been approved for 442,800 square feet of development in three buildings along with parking for up to 322 cars.
The first project planned for the development site is an innovative graduate student housing facility for the Boston University School of Medicine. The 104-unit, 84,000-square-foot building will provide housing for up to 208 graduate students and 5,000 square feet of retail space at the ground level. This first phase of development will also include a new 12,000-square-foot park along Albany Street.
Fallon Towle & Associates is developing the new graduate student housing facility on behalf of Boston University and is working with the university to plan the future development of the entire site.
