Hearth at Olmstead Green

The Fallon Company is pleased to have been selected to serve as the Owner’s Representative for Hearth, Inc. to facilitate the design and construction of Hearth at Olmsted Green.

Hearth, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of homelessness among the elderly. Their mission is accomplished through a unique blend of prevention, placement, and housing programs all designed to help elders find and succeed in homes of their own. Hearth housing provides an array of supportive services that assist residents to age with dignity, regardless of their special medical, mental health, or social needs.

Hearth at Olmsted Green will provide fifty-nine new units of supportive housing. It will feature extensive common areas including lounges, a library, a "Brain Gym," therapeutic offices, and a common dining area which will open on to a dramatic landscaped terrace.

Hearth at Olmsted Green is part of the larger Olmsted Green project, a mixed income community which, upon completion, will include housing, recreational facilities, services, and economic development opportunities. Olmsted Green is being developed on the former Boston State Hospital site bounded by Morton Street, Harvard Street and American Legion Highway in the Mattapan neighbor of Boston. The development is named after Frederick Olmsted, the famous landscape architect who designed Boston's “Emerald Necklace,” including nearby Franklin Park.
