Hundreds of people gathered on a parking lot near the new Nissan Stadium this week for a celebration with live music and confetti cannons.
Despite what you might be thinking, this wasn’t a Super Bowl-related event.
The explosion of rainbow confetti marked The Fallon Co. and Elmington Capital’s groundbreaking of Eastpoint Flats, the first project to rise as part of the 30 acres of mixed-use development surrounding the new Titans stadium.
Executives with Fallon and Elmington, Mayor Freddie O’Connell and East Bank Development Authority CEO Ben York were just a few of the extensive lineup of speakers there to commemorate the huge milestone for the East Bank neighborhood.
