Boston, Mass.-based The Fallon Company has been chosen as the master developer for the East Bank Central Waterfront Initial Development Area, Metro planning officials said Tuesday.
The company will oversee designs of new building footprints, public spaces, various transportation routes and affordable housing in the 30-acre Central Waterfront District. It will be hired following a 10-day protest period.
The development area is the core of a 338-acre industrial stretch of the East Bank, envisioned as a top global destination to attract billions of dollars of private and public financing.
