East Bank legislation begins its move through council

The Metro Council has passed the East Bank master development agreement with The Fallon Company through introduction and first reading, but this is only the starting point for the ordinance.

District 19 Councilmember Jacob Kupin, who sponsors the legislation, said at Thursday night’s meeting the council plans to defer voting on the ordinance on second reading to give the council and community more time to review the more than 400-page document. A second reading of the bill would be on council’s March 19 agenda, with a one-meeting deferral to push it back to April 2.
